The MP2153D is a monolithic, step-down switch-mode converter with integrated, internal power MOSFETs. It can achieve up to 3A of continuous output current (I_OUT) across a wide 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage (V_IN) range, with excellent load and line regulation. The output voltage (V_OUT) can be regulated to as low as 0.6V.

The MP2153D is ideal for a wide range of applications, including solid-state drives (SSDs), portable devices, as well as other low power and low-voltage systems. Constant-on-time (COT) control provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization.

Full protection features include cycle-by-cycle over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP) with hiccup mode, and thermal shutdown.

The MP2153D requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components, and is available in an ultra-small SOT563 package and a UTQFN-6 (1.2mmx1.6mm) package.
